Hematidrosis (blood sweat)

                             Hematidrosis (blood sweat)

Hematidrosis also called blood sweat, is a very rare condition in which a human sweats blood. The term is from haima meaning blood, and hidros meaning sweat.

Hematidrosis is rare?

Hermatidrosis is extremely rare, which makes it difficult for doctors to research the condition. The condition may manifest differently in every individual. This makes it difficult for doctors to offer clear prognoses or test which treatments are most effective.  A case study published gathered data on 18 years old women with Hematidrosis. For 6 months, she experienced bleeding from the forehead, eyes, hands, naval, and fingernails. All laboratory and other test were normal, though the frequency of the bleeding increased over time. While hospitalized, the women experienced 30 distinct episodes. Doctors were never able to diagnose or treat the cause of the bleeding, but 20 months her diagnosis, the bleeding had greatly decreased.

Sign and Symptoms:

Blood oozes from the forehead, nails, umbilicus, and other skin surfaces. In addition, oozing from the mucocutaneous surface causing nosebleeds, bloodstained tears, and vicarious menstruation are common. The episodes may be preceded by intense headache and abdominal pain and are usually self- limiting. In some conditions, the secreted fluid is more dilute and appears to be blood tinged, while others may have darker bright red secretion resembling blood.

People who have Hematidrosis may sweat blood from their skin. It usually happens on or around the face, but the skin might be lining the inside of your body, too like in your nose, mouth or stomach. The skin around the bloody area may swell temporarily.

Crying tears of blood are related. it's called Haemolacria. Bleeding from the ear is called blood otorrhea. Hematodrosis can look like blood, bloody sweat, or sweat with droplets of blood in it. Sweating a different color like yellow, blue, green, or back is a different condition called chromhidrosis.

Causes

Hematidrosis is a condition in which capillary, blood vessels that feed the sweat glands rupture, causing them to exude blood, occurring under conditions of extreme physical or emotional stress. Severe mental anxiety activates the sympathetic nervous system to invoke the stress fight or flight response to such a degree as to cause hemorrhage of the vessels supplying the sweat glands. It has been suggested that acute fear and extreme stress can cause Hematidrosis.

Bleeding occurs when tiny blood vessels rupture. Some blood vessels, including those near the sweat glands and, is in mucous membranes, are closer to the skin's surface. This makes them more likely to rupture. It also explains why Hematidrosis is more common near the nose. forehead and other parts of the body located near sweat glands or mucous membranes.

Physical and psychological stresses are suspected of causing the condition. This theory might explain why report on religious figure often highlights stories of bloody sweat.

Although stress likely plays a role, it cannot fully explain this phenomenon. Rates of stress, anxiety disorders, and other mental health conditions have increased in recent years, yet Hematidrosis has not. This suggests that other abnormalities may play a role. People with a history of Hematidrosis may have defects in the dermis, the layer of skin beneath the outer layer. This hypothetical skin defect could provide space for blood to accumulate, making it possible to sweat blood.

However, not all cases of bloody sweat are attributable to physical or emotional stress. A case study details the story of a girl with Hematidrosis. The girl had no bleeding disorders, no apparent other medical conditions, and no history of psychological problems or stress. Each bleeding episode lasted 10-15 minutes and did not appear to upset the girl. Doctors do not find any underlying causes for Hematidrosis. Some other studies have found that nervous system issues may play a role in Hematidrosis.

Gout Uric Acid Homeopathic Treatment

Gout Uric Acid Homeopathic Treatment

A gout is a form of arthritis which is caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in joint. In the condition, due to metabolic dysfunction, there is deposition of uric acid in and around the joints causing severe painfulness, swelling and restricted mobility of the affected joint. When crystals form in the joints, it causes recurring attacks of joint inflammation arthritis. Gout is considered a chronic and progressive disease. Chronic gout can also lead to deposits of a hard lump of uric acid in the tissue, particularly in and around the joints and may cause joint destruction, decreased kidney function and gouts have the unique distinction of being one of the most frequently recorded medical illness throughout history. It is often to an inherited abnormality in the body's ability to process uric acid.

Uric acid is a breakdown product of purines that are part of many foods we eat. An abnormality in handling uric acid can cause attacks of painful arthritis, Kidney stones, and blockage of the kidney- filtering tubules with uric acid crystals, leading to kidney failure. On the other hand, some people may only develop elevated blood uric acid levels without having the manifestation of gouts, such as arthritis or kidney problems. The state of elevated levels of uric acid in the blood without symptoms is referred to as asymptomatic hyperuricemia. Asymptomatic hyperuricemia is considered a precursor state to the development of gout. The term gout refers to the disease that is caused by an overload of uric acid in the body, resulting in painful arthritis attacks and deposits of a lump of uric acid crystals in body tissues.

Gouty arthritis is typically an extremely painful attack with a rapid onset of joint inflammation. The joint inflammation is precipitated by deposits of uric acid crystals in the joint fluid and joint lining. Intense joint inflammation occurs as the immune system reacts, causing white blood cells to engulf the uric acid crystals and chemical messengers of inflammation to be released, leading to pain, heat, and redness of the joint tissues. As gout progresses, the attacks of gouty arthritis typically occur more frequently and often in additional joints.

While an elevated blood level of uric acid may indicate an increased risk of gout, the relationship between hyperuricemia and gout is unclear. Many patients with hyperuricemia do not develop gout, while some patients with repeated gout attacks have normal or low blood uric acid levels. In fact, the blood level of uric acid often lowers during an acute attack of gout. Among the male population un, the United States, approximately 10% have hyperuricemia. However, only a small portion of those with hyperuricemia will actually develop gout.
In addition to an inherited abnormality in handling uric acid, other risk factors for developing gout include obesity, excessive weight gain, moderate to heavy alcohol high blood pressure, and abnormal kidney function. Certain drugs, such as thiazide diuretics. Furthermore, certain diseases lead to excessive production of uric acid in the body. Examples of these diseases include leukemias lymphomas and hemoglobin disorders. A recent study demonstrated an increased prevalence of abnormally low thyroid hormone levels in a patient with gout. In patients at risk of developing gout, certain conditions can precipitate acute attacks of gout. These conditions include dehydration, injury to the joint, fever, excessive eating, heavy alcohol intake, and recent surgery. Gout attacks triggered by recent surgery are probably related to changes in the body fluid balance as patients temporarily discontinue normal oral fluid intake in preparation for and after their operation.

Causes of gout

Sudden, intense pain in a joint, typically the big toe or make, sometimes the knee, hand or wrist. Gout may also affect elbows, knees, ankles, wrists or small joints of the hands and feet. Swelling, inflammation and a feeling that the joint is very hot, extreme tenderness of the joint to even the lightest touch red or purple skin around the joint. In extreme cases alternating chills and fever. Low-grade fever may also be present. If not treated properly leads to typhoid fever. with recurring attacks, soft fleshy growths may appear, called tophi, which are accumulations of uric acid crystals. Over time gout attacks may occur more frequently, involve more joints, have more severe symptoms and last longer. Patients with longstanding hyperuricemia can have uric acid crystals deposits called tophi in other tissues as well as the helix of the ear.

Symptoms of gout

 - Hereditary, improper function of the kidney
- Reaction to alcohol. Reaction to certain drugs, antibiotics.
- Enzyme deficiencies.
- Lead poisoning, the disorder is often associated with an injury or surgical procedure.
- Highly proteinous diet.
- Unidentified causes- idiopathic causes.
- Starvation- diminished renal excretion of uric acid
- Psoriasis- due to overproduction of uric acid
Toxaemia of pregnancy due to diminished excretion of uric acid. May also occur in some cases of tumors or cancers.

The different types of Gout
Gout has four distinct stages
Asymptomatic: High levels of Uric acid in blood but no joint complaints
Acute Phase: Acute complaints described above occur for a brief period
Intercritical Phase: There is no pain or swelling of joints in this phase, the patient is relatively symptom-free.
Chronic: Gout attacks may become frequent during this phase and the condition may affect many joints at a time, tophi formation may also see.

Homeopathic treatment:
Homeopathy offers a wider range of options than conventional medicine. Constitutional homeopathic treatment with the management of an experienced and professional homeopathic is an excellent choice for Gout. Homeopathic approach to gout treatment is more of a totalistic approach. Homeopathy helps in controlling the pain during the acute attack of gout as well as helps in preventing the recurrence of such episodes. It helps in reducing stiffness and improves the mobility of the joints. Homeopathy is very strongly suggested for the treatment of gout.

The constitutional approach of homeopathy, which considers mind and body together as one, bestows a lot of significance to emotions and believes that emotional factors are vital in the development of most of the diseases, including gout. It can even be the cause of gout. Heredity plays an important role in gout. However, a study conducted at the Stanford University school of medicine suggested that emotions can overcome genetics. The study showed that even those who are genetically predisposed to gout can avoid the disease by staying emotionally healthy. If you are at risk gout, you can avoid getting the disease of you to stay in good condition psychologically.
In conclusion, for every patient suffering from gout classical homeopathy treatment must be given serious consideration for the long term and lasting relief.

High- Purine foods:
A high purine diet is one of many things that can trigger a gout attack. Limit or avoid these foods to avoid triggering an attack.
Seafood: Anchovies, Herring, scallops, sardines, Mussels, Roe (fish eggs).
Beverages: Beer, Liquor, sugary drinks
Vegetables: Spinach, Cauliflower, Asparagus, Mushrooms.
Meat: Beef, Orange meats, Lamb.
Other: Oatmeal, Peas, Dried Beans, Lentils.

Self-care measure:

Dietary changes can help reduce uric acid levels in the blood. Since purine chemicals are converted by the body into uric acid, purine-rich foods are avoided. Examples of foods rich in purines include shellfish and organ meats such as liver, kidney, and sweetbreads. Researchers have reported, in general, that meat or seafood consumption increases the risk of gout attacks, while dairy food consumption seemed to reduce the risk. Protein intake or purine-rich vegetable consumption was not associated with an increased risk of gout. Total alcohol intake was strongly associated with an increased risk of gout. Fructose from the corn syrup in soft drinks also increases the risk of gout.

Weight reduction can be helpful in lowering the risk of recurrent attacks of gout. This is beast accomplished by reducing dietary fat and calorie intake, combined with a regular aerobic exercise program
- Get at least eight hours of sleep a night
- Eat a well nutritious diet that gives you more energy and makes you generally feel better.
- Eat several small meals during the day to keep a steady supply of protein and carbohydrate available for proper muscle function.
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
- Exercising regularly.
- Make changes at work.
- Pace yourself.
Take hot baths or showers to soothe soreness, increase circulation, and relieve stiffness. Cut back on caffeine, alcohol, and sugar, which often cause fatigue.
Hence, to end the pain and suffering of acid reflux, enjoy a perfect night's sleep again and also eat anything you crave consider Homeopathy.
