A big myth in the mind of people that “Walking is the best exercise for Diabetics”. Thousand of diabetics walk daily for years but never become free of medications. This is because walking improves stamina and does not significantly improve muscle mass or strength.
     Remember 80%+ sugar is in the muscles. So, these need to be stronger. Only muscle consumes 60-70% glucose. If they increase even by few percentage points your glucose metabolism will drastically shift.
     Hence, I recommend investing in climbing stairs, Resistance Band (Thera Band) weight Training, etc.
